Step one, take a perfectly good vehicle and take the rear end out of it.

This is the object of our attention. If you have followed any of my other projects you will know that it surely will expand to other areas.

Not bad from a distance.

A closer look says it is time for this project.

The implements of destruction have once again been hauled out of their hiding place and are being used to do just that. Heat and a big hammer works well on removing the control arm bolts.

First bolt of eight that need to come out. I hope they are not all as hard as this one was.

It's out.

To bad all the arms are not.

You know what they say about the shoe makers kids, they go bare foot. Well for a guy that refinishes control arms I guess it is TIME for me to do my own!

Just a few other parts that were removed to get to the rear end.

I have always wanted to redo the exhaust again.

The Flowmaster mufflers were just to loud. I want to be able to hear the radio as I cruise. I must be getting old.
